Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to my blog-- or rather, portfolio. I started this project as part of an online class while in Nicaragua, and I now plan on continuing to use it as an expanded resume. In the fall of 2013, the beginning of my junior year at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, I was selected as the first intern for Latino Earth Partnership. The internship was a pilot project: I would go to Granada, Nicaragua for ten weeks to work in five elementary schools helping develop community gardens and natural spaces within the school. This blog is a summary of the work I completed while there.
At the right of the page there are various links. The first brings you back to the home page. The second directs you to an updated version of my resume. The third is a brief outline of the work of both Earth Partnership and Latino Earth Partnership, as well as a summary of their methods and goals. The fourth link breaks my internship down into three parts and gives a short description of the work I did in each portion. The six following links outline the lesson plans I used while working in the schools, and my comments on each week. The final links are some reflections I wrote on my time in Nicaragua, giving some insight into what I learned.
